Roots - the monthly reggae night continues with a St Patricks Day special this Saturday night March 17th at Underground, Bakers Place, Limerick. This will feature Pressure Drop Soundsystem and Cubeman Selekta with special guests on the mic. Anticipate a wide variety of styles from ska to rocksteady and funky reggae to roots and culture, dancehall and bashment. There will also be visuals designed and projected by crowdPOUR. Doors 10pm
Cubeman Selekta was a DJ on the Polish reggae scene before he came to Ireland in 2006. Playing with Radio Sensi and No Duck Crew he was based in the tri city area surrounding Gdansk. When he arrived in Limerick he hooked up with the Roots night and has become respected in the city for his style.
Pressure Drop System are Ollie and Paul, both well respected in Irish club scene. Now based in Co Clare, Pressure Drop have rocked the Roots nights before along with playing at last years Electric Picnic festival and the infamous New Years Eve meltdown at Kinnitty Castle.
