When: WFMU broadcast live from Limerick this Friday evening 27th from 7pm to 10pm. The 'put the needle on the record' show with Billy Jam will be heard live on the FM band back in New Jersey/New York and around the world on the internet.
Why: So Limerick artists and people like Rubberbandits, size2shoes, Jay Red, True Blood Souljahz, Nora (Tweak festival), Paul Tarpey, Code and Jimmy Lyons can join artists like Rob Kelly and Vince McMahon in a live studio session. There will be talking, freestyling, scratching, mixing and hopefully imput from you.
Where: The whole session goes on in Dan Sykes brand new studio in O Connell Street. Afterwards there is big post show wrap party in the Wicked Chicken. You can hear the radio show live and indeed afterwards it will be archived.
Who: Both Kerrynini and cheebah have been assisting Billy Jam organising this. Assistance on the local front has been generously given by the Absolute Hotel, South Central LK, Parish Auctioneers and the Limerick Coordination office.
What can I do? Spread the word, listen in live and listen back later, leave a comment on the night on the WFMU website, come to the wicked chicken afterparty and take pride in the talent in the city.
