From Limerick Post Saturday 19th June 2010 (Click on image to read)
The Rubberbandits were invited to create a rough guide of fun things to do in Limerick over the summer of 2010 for the excellent last post and chorus page. This resulted in mention of the Limerick soviet, Augustinian church and an original but convincing description of our relationship to Galway and Cork.
The Rubberbandits had been in print in local media before, most memorably perhaps in crude magazine. However the Limerick Post has a more diverse readership and predictably they did complain. For many years I think the traditional Daily Mail letter writer was seen as 'troubled in tunbridge wells'. Perhaps Limerick can now have a 'bothered in Ballinacurra'. The response from a reader in issue dated Saturday 3rd July called the article "most objectionable, most offensive and downright insulting....blasphemous and utterly abominable"
